The Adventure Awaits…

Yay! If you’re reading this, it means I have finally launched a big dream in my life! Get out the milestone marker and the wine glasses, we are marking this moment for sure! Thank you for taking the time to visit my new website. It is more than just a new website for me, it is a long-awaited dream in the making and I am so excited for this new adventure!

I have to admit, as I embark on this new journey, I am re-learning all the concepts of transition over again in a whole new way. Sometimes I feel caught in the middle between waves of excitement and anticipation, and then waves of fear and uncertainty, all amidst waves of sadness in leaving my former season. I am redefining myself in many ways, and the familiar questions of "who am I now?" and "how does this new season look for me?" are all too real. I suddenly find myself personally revisiting the important key concepts of transition. Here is a preview of these concepts, but I look forward to sharing deeper with each of these in my next few blogs.

(Re) Learning Keys to Transition:

With every transition, there is always a gain... and a loss.  Whether it is a chosen transition (such as mine now) or a transition life has forced upon us, there is always both a gain and a loss.  Acknowledging our feelings in both is critical to moving through transition well.  (Even when it means bursting into tears here and there!)

The importance of reminding myself of the big WHY?  Oh, and I have to do this often!  This is a powerful tool in moving forward with any vision in life.

Honoring courage instead of end product.  Like building your own website, for instance.  Without throwing the laptop through the window!  And the learning curve - it can be steep sometimes!

and last but certainly not least... giving myself credit for the small steps of progress.  No matter how much still needs to be done, acknowledging progress helps us stay motivated and encouraged to keep moving forward.

So onward and upward!  Until next time, be blessed friends!  And thank you for sharing in this new adventure with me!
